Business Consulting services

A closer look at what each engagement includes, how long it takes, and what you walk away with.

Operational restructuring

This is our most requested service. Companies call us when costs have crept up, margins have thinned, and nobody can pinpoint exactly where the money goes. We can.

During the first week we map every major workflow: procurement, production, fulfilment, customer service, finance close. We time each step, interview the people doing the work, and compare what we find against industry benchmarks from similar-sized firms in your sector.

What you get

  • A process map showing every handoff, delay, and duplication
  • A costed list of improvements ranked by payback period
  • Redesigned workflows with documented standard operating procedures
  • On-site support during the first four weeks of implementation

Timeline and pricing

Most restructuring projects take eight to twelve weeks from diagnostic to handover. We quote a fixed fee after the diagnostic, so there are no surprises. Typical fees for a 50-person company fall between £18,000 and £32,000 depending on complexity.

Revenue growth planning

Growing revenue is not the same as growing sales activity. We have seen companies double their outbound calls and still miss their targets because the underlying pricing, qualification criteria, or retention strategy was wrong.

We start by auditing three things: your pricing architecture, your sales conversion rates at each pipeline stage, and your customer churn data. From that analysis we build a twelve-month revenue plan with monthly milestones. The plan is not a wish list. Every target ties back to a specific action your team will take, with a named owner and a deadline.

What you get

  • Pricing review with competitor benchmarking and elasticity estimates
  • Pipeline analysis showing where prospects drop off and why
  • A twelve-month revenue plan broken into monthly actions
  • Two half-day workshops with your sales leadership to embed the plan
  • Quarterly check-in calls for the first year (included in the fee)

Timeline and pricing

The audit phase takes two to three weeks. Plan delivery follows within ten working days. Total engagement length is typically six weeks. Fees range from £12,000 to £22,000.

Change management

Technology projects fail at an alarming rate. The software works fine. The problem is people. Staff revert to old habits, middle managers resist new reporting lines, and the executive sponsor moves on to the next priority before adoption is complete.

We run structured change programmes that treat human behaviour as the primary risk. Before any system goes live, we conduct stakeholder interviews to understand who will be affected, what they fear, and what would make the transition easier for them. Then we design communications, training, and feedback loops around those findings.

What you get

  • Stakeholder impact assessment with risk-rated resistance map
  • Communication plan tailored to each affected group
  • Role-specific training delivered on-site or via video
  • Post-launch support for 60 days, including weekly drop-in clinics

When to call us

Ideally, three months before your go-live date. We can rescue a stalled rollout, but prevention costs less than cure. Change management fees depend heavily on the number of affected staff; contact us for a scoping conversation.

Financial modelling

Good decisions need good numbers. We build financial models for companies facing investment decisions, acquisition opportunities, or board presentations where the stakes are high and the margin for error is thin.

Every model we deliver is built in Excel (or Google Sheets if you prefer), with clearly labelled assumptions, scenario toggles, and sensitivity tables. We do not use black-box tools. Your finance team will be able to update the model themselves after we leave.

What you get

  • A fully functional financial model with base, upside, and downside scenarios
  • An assumptions log explaining every input and its source
  • A 90-minute walkthrough session with your finance team
  • One round of revisions within 30 days of delivery

Common use cases

Capital expenditure decisions over £500,000. Acquisition targets where the seller's numbers need independent verification. Board-level five-year forecasts for companies seeking external investment. Turnaround plans where lenders require monthly cash-flow projections.

Typical turnaround time is two to four weeks. Fees start at £6,500 for a single-entity model.

How every engagement works

Regardless of which service you choose, we follow the same five-stage process. It keeps both sides accountable.

Discovery call

A 30-minute phone or video call where you describe the problem and we ask questions. No charge, no obligation. By the end we both know whether there is a fit.

On-site diagnostic

Two days at your premises. We interview key staff, review documents, and observe operations. You receive a written diagnostic report within five working days.

Proposal and agreement

A fixed-fee proposal with a clear scope, deliverables list, and timeline. We do not bill by the hour. If you accept, we schedule the start date within two weeks.

Delivery

Our consultant works on-site two to three days per week. Fortnightly progress reports go to your project sponsor. If scope changes, we discuss it openly before any extra cost is incurred.

Handover and follow-up

All deliverables are documented and transferred. We train your team. A 90-day check-in call is included at no extra charge to catch any drift early.

Questions we hear often

Do you work with companies outside Northern Ireland?

Yes. About 40% of our clients are in England and Scotland. We travel to your site for the diagnostic and key workshops, and handle the rest remotely. Travel costs within the UK are included in our fees.

What size of company do you typically work with?

Most of our clients have between 20 and 500 employees and annual revenues between £2 million and £80 million. We have worked with smaller firms on specific projects like financial modelling, and with larger organisations on divisional restructuring.

How do you charge?

Fixed fees, agreed before work starts. The diagnostic is the only exception: we charge a flat £2,400 for the two-day diagnostic, which is credited against the project fee if you proceed.

What if the project scope changes mid-way?

Scope changes happen. When they do, we document the change, estimate the additional cost, and get your written approval before doing any extra work. No surprises on the invoice.

Can you share references?

With the client's permission, yes. We can arrange a phone call between you and a previous client in a similar industry so you can ask them directly about their experience.

How quickly can you start?

We usually have availability within two to three weeks. For urgent situations, such as a distressed business needing a turnaround plan, we can often begin within a week.
